New Law Passes Senate with Unprecedented Support

If you have ever seen American politics at work then you know that it is a miracle when any new law is passed. If that new law happens to pass with more than just a small majority then you have made history. Today history was passed as the senate voted 100-0 to pass the new extra large tshirts law.

This law was first introduced as a way to help the American lighten up. The stress levels in the country are at an all time high. People worry about everything from gas prices, to global warming and you are beginning to see the effects of this worrying. You have more people being medicated for depression, road rage, and a slew of other things. So the bill was introduced to try and help Americans to relax a bit.

Here is what the "Large Size Tee Shirts" law states. On every Friday Americans will wear plus size teeshirts. You are required to wear them whether you work, stay at home, are a student or retired, it does not matter. you are to wear one. The reason that everyone will wear big size tees is so those who are a bit overweight will feel comfortable. Your Tshirts shall not be political in anyway. In fact we decree that all of the shirts must be funny tees. With everyone walking around in humorous tee-shirts how is it possible for anyone to remain stressed?

After a brief debate they amended the first draft to also include vintage tee shirts as many of those who serve in the Senate have shirts from a variety of different decades and wanted to show them off. These cool tees are a testimony to the country's rich heritage. One senator also asked if it was ok to design my own tshirts or if it was going to be necessary to purchase iron on tshirts from specific venders. They decided that everyone could in fact make their own tees if they so choose.

After a brief discussion the Senate majority leader took a vote and with an unprecedented sweep the "Large Size Tee Shirts" law was passed. The law will officially go into effect the Monday following Labor Day. So go out there and buy your plus size teeshirts and make sure they are funny tees. One senator joked after the vote that because this was the first time in history that the entire Senate agreed on an issue that maybe they should create a postage stamp to commemorate the large size tee shirts law.
