Here is the tale that was being told. After a day of swimming and relaxing around the campsite many people were line-drying their tee shirts. In the morning the tee shirts would be missing. However the thieves were very choosy about the shirts they stole, they only took big size tees. That's right almost every extra large tees, plus size tees or any large size t-shirt was targeted and stolen.

When I dug deeper into the story I found that the thieves were a bit choosier than just looking for the xl tee-shirts. They actually had a style preference! The solid colored and white big size teeshirts were just left were they hung but any cool t-shirts, humorous tees, or vintage tee shirts were gone. So what I decided to do was to set up a campsite and have several video cameras and microphones placed around it. I then hung up a variety of extra large tee-shirts on a clothsline and then hid in the woods.

After waiting for several hours the thieves showed themselves. I first heard the bushes rustle a bit and to my surprise out came a large bull frog and an alligator, and right behind them, a large soft-shelled turtle stopped just outside the campsite and proceeded to stand guard. The bull frog placed itself right outside the tent's door and proceeded to croak very loudly which made all the frogs in the area chime in, the noise level was deafening.

Once the noise level rose the alligator then removed all the tees that fell into the correct category. Surprised by who the actual culprits were, I took off on foot and followed them to the river. This is what I heard. "I am glad we got a new batch, I need these to protect my skin from the sun," said the alligator. To which the turtle replied, "Who are you kidding? You do it for the adrenalin rush. Hey, what is this? I don't wear funny t-shirts! What would the other turtles say? You know I only wear vintage tees!"

"Relax said the bull frog, I have your vintage tee shirt. I love the humorous tee shirt 'cause the chicks diggem'!" With that they said their goodbyes and said they would see each other next time. After my discovery I have decided that I would not tell anyone what I had witnessed as I am sure that they would just think I was forgetful or very drunk but for those of you that camp on the Suwannee River, know this, when the frogs are croaking your large tee-shirts are history.
